The CUBE at SMU -  March 2015 - Present

Founding Board Member and Student Manager of The Cube, SMU's business accelerator and incubator for student founded start-ups. While it is student-run, the Cube is an official SMU organization that is a part of the Engaged Learning Office. 

I work with four other co-founders of the Cube on a weekly basis during the semester and summer break to develop the mission and vision for the Cube and strategized a business plan for the Cube. 

Roles
  • Founding Board Member and Chairman/Student Manager
  • Project lead for Jumpstart - the Cube's team formation program for student business teams
  • Site Developer (including content of the site)
  • Lead curriculum developer for the Cube’s website resource page
  • Lead for Senior Design Project

Senior Design

Secured a partnership with the Lyle School of Engineering to enable engineering students in the Senior Design program to work with the Cube to develop their ideas for technology start-ups 

My Contributions

Secured an Engaged Learning grant for my work on the Jumpstart project

Created the "Cube Logo Competition" (which produced our official logo)

Came up with the idea of creating an advisory board of professors for the Cube

Lead the creation of a program to accelerate and help develop the Senior
​Design start-ups

Summer 2015
